Best Relief Pitcher I Ever Saw

just made the Hall of Fame.

Congratulations, Goose!

You did it when closers were actual firemen, when they came into a game not just to pitch the ninth but to pitch part of the eighth with men on, and then the ninth.

And you were unhittable.

It's about time.
