Big Concerns for Liverpool

Relegation?

Bankruptcy?

Too Few Good Players?

Too Much Debt?

Perhaps all of the above.

This is huge news. For U.S. sports fans, picture the Yankees from say 1965-1974, when they couldn't do anything right and when an obscure Tampa shipbuilder named George Steinbrenner bought the team from CBS for about $8 million. This is where Liverpool is close to being right now.

With a historic cache that might not be on the same perch as, say the Yankees in baseball, but still pretty high up there.

Stay tuned.
